We're excited to announce a major update to STRANDS, a collection of bowed and electronic instrumentation.
The update is free for all STRANDS users and available now via Native Access. It boasts an array of powerful new features developed since its initial release in winter 2023. Some highlights are:
The newly developed Ensemble feature
Used for blending additional voices, with controls for Pitch, Width, Detune and Cascade. Great for harmonising, call and response as well as creating thickness and harmonic friction.
A revamped Dynamics page
Now with controls for Pan, Distance and Stereo Spread to uniquely craft your own soundstage.
New and unique Character FX
22 effect options now available, several of which are completely unique to our instruments. Find even more sonic possibilities with effects such as: Blur, Degrade, Tape, Fuzz, Trems, Reverse and more.
Character FX presets
Allowing users to save/load entire FX chains.
MIDI based pitch shifting
For more realistic harmonisation and creative flexibility.
Over 100 new snapshots
Carefully design to highlight the possibilities the update features have created. Bringing the total number of snapshots to over a thousand.
Major UI and NKS improvements
Including loading samples and FX directly from hardware controllers.
